I suppose the reason this is big news would be that once someone starts working at Google – they don’t usually leave anytime soon. Working at Google is a coveted position for many.
A few weeks ago, we heard Google was hiring an SEO specialist to work on their Cloud Platform. Apparently, Google is not stopping with the cloud.

Go West Young Man – or Woman
You heard right Google is hiring SEO’s to come out and work on site at their Mountain View, California location. The coveted title is “SEO Specialist/Project Manager II” and you will have to have some experience under your belt to be considered for this job.
The hiring will run on a one-year contract to optimize the Google Store website. However, before you get too excited – Google isn’t hiring directly. They have a third party doing the hiring and employing. This other company will be your employer and not Google directly.
It Could Be You
If you are what they are looking for you could potentially be in charge of marketing all of Google’s devices! From Nexus phones, Google Glass, to tablets, and Chromecast. There just may be nothing that you wouldn’t have your fingers into.
Keep in mind this is Google – they don’t suffer fools. So make sure you have a minimum of 3 years of SEO under your belt. You also need a good bit of technical knowledge of schema and have some know-how when it comes to large-scale SEO. Large-scale SEO is a whole ‘nuther ball game!
The unfortunate news for those of you who are on the edge of your seat is that there doesn’t seem to be a way to openly apply for the job. Instead, the agency Google appointed is simply reaching out to SEOs they feel may be worthy.
